Corner House, Seminyak

Café by day, restaurant and bar by night, Corner House, located in Seminyak, doesn’t disappoint. The 1920’s style deck out is owned by local residents Magali Pascal and her photographer hubby, and designed by Architect and sister to Matt – Emma Neville.  The banana-orange-honey smoothie is delightful. And the coffee, with beans supplied from fellow business owner, Revolver Expresso, is so smooth you will need a second if not a third.

Five Elements, Ubud

The Sakti dining room at this award winning eco-conscious wellness retreat serves only vegan living food, in celebration of our “aliveness”. Housed in an impressive bamboo architectural structure with a sweeping thatched roof in the shape of a banana leaf, patrons eat overlooking a lotus pond on one side and the Ayung River on the other. Fresh fruit juices with herbs and spices, raw curries, soups, salads and desserts form a three, five and seven course tasting lunch or dinner. A must visit for peace and tranquillity and to experience nature at its best.

Betelnut Café, Canggu

Nestled in the heart of Canggu, a sleepy, surfy beachside village 20 minutes from Seminyak, Betelnut Café serves an array of organic raw vegan dishes. Surfers, still wet from their morning adventures, dine on raw gado gado, beetroot burgers, raw nutty cheesecake and frosty fresh fruit frappes. Highly recommended is the famous ‘Nago Bomb’ – a smoothie bowl overflowing with a whipped puree of dragonfruit, banana and coconut, topped with fruit, seeds and nuts.
